Alternative Raw Materials

Alternative raw materials, to the basic limestone and shale that have been used to produce cement clinker, are being used in each plant. Limerich plant uses Pfa, a ‘waste’  ash from Moneypoimnt power station to replace shale. Platin plant uses clay overburden to substitute for shale , instead of stockpiling it when exposing the limestone  for use in the quarry.
